Allie is an Integrative & Creative Counsellor and a Wellbeing & Mindfulness Coach, providing talking and creative experiential therapy for adults, couples and young people. Allie also works directly with professionals, parents and young people, helping build resilience, self-esteem and confidence through workshops. Allie’s special area of interest is psychological trauma and how this not only impacts people’s ability to engage with services, but also staff resilience and how this shapes service culture.
Since 2017, Allie has been a STOPSO therapist working with those at risk of harmful sexual behaviour, to enable them to stop acting out; reducing the risk to society and reducing the number of victims. Allie delivers both in-house and bespoke training to clients on a range of issues concerning sexual offending, and delivers Compassion-Focused Risk Aware 121 Therapy Programmes for managing sexual risk.
Before going into therapeutic private practice, Allie had 20+ years of experience working as a welfare rights advisor and delivered training and outreach work for National Housing Federation, Child Poverty Action Group and many large Housing Providers. She continues to design and deliver bespoke training programmes for organisations and tenants on subjects such as Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment and Money Management, as well as giving talks at Conferences on these subjects.
