Bodhi Nicholas Hunt graduated as a mature student within Herbal Medicine and practiced for a number of years in private practice, during this time he increasingly became more engaged in the psychological process when working with clients as well as the physical. He also trained within conscious embodied movement practice and was working with the Humanistic Person-Centred Model with patients. He went on further to complete a Post- graduate Diploma in both Mental Health Nursing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Bodhi has continued to build on these skills with further training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Compassion Focused Therapy, MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) and Supervision skills.
Over the last 10 years Bodhi has gained extensive working experience within the NHS and private practice, supporting clients with a wide range of psychological difficulties from complex and developmental trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders (including Panic Disorder, Generalised Anxiety, Health Anxiety and OCD).
On a more personal level Bodhi has been practicing Mindfulness for over 25 years and lived in a Buddhist community in London for some time. He feels passionate that people have the potential to live a full, valuable and meaningful life with the capacity to heal from past difficulty and self-regulate their emotional world in line with their values and context of life.
Bodhi has a therapy practice and teaches classes in London and workshops in Movement and Mindfulness in London, Europe, Russia and Asia. He attends regular CBT, EMDR and Mindfulness supervision inline with recommended professional standards.
