Jacqueline van Oosterwijk is a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor who has been practicing for 10 years both in the voluntary sector and in private practice. Her approach is relational and she primarily works with people with complex stories and childhood trauma or neglect. She also offers training and supervision and is an experienced senior manager in social care and statutory services. Jacqueline has worked in three countries: the Netherlands, the Sudan and England.
Jacqueline works according to the basic principles of Transactional Analysis: respect for all, personal responsibility and the belief that change is almost always possible. In her work the client is always leading and Jacqueline believes that everything happening between clients and herself is both about the client’s presentation and history as well as her own. She is therefore committed to her own continued personal development, has been in long term psychotherapy and has weekly supervision.
Jacqueline is a registered member of the BACP and has a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute and Middlesex University.
