Dobrochna has 10 years’ experience of work within mental health sector – mostly in third sector (Homelessness) and public (NHS). She has worked and supported people with range of difficulties – learning disabilities, autism, personality disorders, depression, anxiety disorders (generalised anxiety, OCD, panic, health anxiety, phobias, social anxiety), substance use, impulsive disorders, trauma (single and complex) and complex presentations. As a senior staff member, Dobrochna has experience of supervising both staff members and volunteers, making sure that clients are enabled to improve their quality of life in a safe and empowering environment.
Dobrochna holds two Master degrees (Social - Penitentiary work, Addiction Psychology and Treatment,) a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is a registered EMDR therapist. She is a registered Drug and Alcohol Practitioner (FDAP – Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioner) and works using different approaches – Coaching, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and incorporates as other interventions guided by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Mindfulness, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
Dobrochna’s experience of work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds and life experiences (war veterans, ex - offenders, sex offenders, victims of trafficking, domestic violence, bereavement, long term conditions) enhance her compassionate and non–judgmental approach with use of each person’s experiences in a self-growth process of overcoming their difficulties and finding their own strengths and self-efficacy. Taking into account different stages of change, experiences, background and goals of people that she works with, she delivers personalized interventions in holistic and empathetic manner. Dobrochna is passionate about people, human rights, equality and uniqueness of each individual and their experiences.
